XIII UMECIT Health Fair 2025
“Health that Educates, Well-being that Transforms”

The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, reaffirming its firm commitment to social projection, the comprehensive training of its students and active involvement with communities, is proud to announce the 13th edition of its emblematic UMECIT 2025 Health Fair, under the inspiring motto: “Health that Educates, Well-being that Transforms”.

This event, which has become one of the institution's flagship initiatives, not only responds to the population's health needs but also promotes a culture of prevention, education, and inclusion, in which the community is the protagonist of change.

The fair will take place simultaneously at the various UMECIT locations and will offer completely free services, aimed at people of all ages: children, youth, adults, and seniors. It is an event open to the general public, bringing together academia with public institutions, social organizations, partner companies, and community networks, strengthening collaborative work for the benefit of collective well-being.

FEATURED SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES

• Preventive medical evaluations
  Monitoring of blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, visual acuity, and vital signs by trained professionals.
• Oral health
  Basic dental exams and oral hygiene guidance.
• Vaccination days
  Immunization campaigns for children, adolescents and adults (depending on institutional availability).
• Mental health care
  Spaces for active listening, emotional first aid, psychological counseling, and talks on stress management and suicide prevention.
• Educational talks
  Meetings with specialists on comprehensive health, chronic diseases, sexual and reproductive health, self-care, nutrition, and cancer prevention.
• Active zone
  Yoga, Zumba, functional training, and fitness routines for all levels.
• Children's area
  Workshops, health activities, games, face painting, storytelling, and more.
• Legal and social advice
  Provides support for domestic violence, human rights, basic legal guidance, and community services.
• Healthy tastings and samples
  Stations with natural products, fruits, juices, and snacks, run by Umecista entrepreneurs.
• Interactive educational stations
  Booths organized by students and teachers, with an interdisciplinary focus.
• Presence of allied institutions
  Public and private entities that will provide guidance on health, employment, environment, and other social services.

The 13th UMECIT 2025 Health Fair transcends the concept of assistance. It is a living laboratory of learning and service, where students from different disciplines apply their knowledge, develop professional skills, and, above all, strengthen their ethical commitment to social transformation.

Organized by the Directorate of Outreach and Social Engagement, this edition combines volunteer projects, environmental responsibility, inter-institutional networks, and community impact actions, offering a comprehensive view of human well-being.
