The first UMECIT Nursing class takes an academic tour to the National Association of Nurses of Panama.

With the goal of strengthening learning from a practical and meaningful perspective, the first graduating class of UMECIT's Bachelor of Nursing program took an enriching academic tour to the National Association of Nurses of Panama (ANEP), the union that represents nursing professionals in the country.

During the visit, the students learned about the history, achievements, struggles, and fundamental role this association plays in defending and promoting nursing. The activity helped raise awareness among future professionals about the importance of feeling an active part of their profession and contributing to its strengthening.

The delegation was welcomed by members of the new board of directors, Ms. Ana Castillo and Ms. Doris Matos, who shared valuable experiences, perspectives, and recommendations on professional practice and union work.

This visit was carried out within the framework of the subject Health Education, directed by the teacher Indira Morales, and represents an educational strategy that complements theoretical training with significant experiences in real-life scenarios.
