The Ministry of Culture's bookmobile visits the La Chorrera headquarters with a day of storytelling and interactive reading.

UMECIT University, committed to the comprehensive development of its community, welcomed at its La Chorrera headquarters the Ministry of Culture Bookmobile, in an enriching day aimed at children, sons, nephews and siblings of our students.

The activity aimed to encourage the habit of reading from an early age, integrating playful, narrative, and participatory strategies. Through storytelling, reading dynamics, and creative activities, children developed fundamental skills such as active listening, oral expression, creativity and social interaction.

From the teachingThis event enabled meaningful learning in unconventional contexts, strengthening cognitive, communicative, and socio-emotional skills in both the children and the university students involved.

Within the framework of the university extensionThis initiative constitutes a valuable bridge between academic knowledge and the social and cultural needs of the community. This reaffirms UMECIT's commitment to the well-being of families, promoting inclusive, participatory spaces with equitable access to transformative educational experiences.

The activity of the Bibliobus represents a successful articulation between teaching and extension, with a direct impact on the children attending, who not only enjoyed a recreational space, but also lived a comprehensive and memorable learning experience.
